Fareway Rounds Up for Fireworks

 

Beginning June 10,  customers will be able to “Round Up for Fireworks” at Fareway Meat and Grocery in Storm Lake. Store Manager Jason Williams said this is a way for Fareway to help support local community events such as the fireworks during the Star Spangled Spectacular.

“We are excited to be a part of this and to help support this community event,” said Williams.

At checkout, customers will be asked if they want to round up to the next whole dollar amount, and Fareway will give that money to the Star Spangled Spectacular to help pay for the fireworks. The program will run from June 10-July 1, 2019.

“Fareway has been a generous donor for many years, and we are grateful Jason wants to continue this program this year,” said Josh Newhouse, fundraising chair for the Star Spangled Spectacular. “The cost of the fireworks is a significant part of our budget, so any donation we receive will help us out!”

All Star Spangled Spectacular entertainment is family friendly and free of charge for the Spectacular. Entertainment is funded through private donations. “Coming Home” is the theme of the 2019 July 3 and 4 Independence Day celebration.
